Top officials continue talks for announcement on nuclear agreement before noon

Marathon nuclear talks continue between Iran and P5+1 negotiators as there are reports about an announcement on the conclusion of the talks before noon Vienna time.

Marathon nuclear talks continue between Iran and P5+1 negotiators as there are reports about an announcement on the conclusion of the talks before noon Vienna time.

 

According to unconfirmed reports, the agreement will be announced following a plenary meeting between the two sides, scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. local time (0830 GMT, 1:00 Tehran time) Tuesday at the Vienna International Center, which hosts the United Nations Office in Vienna.

 

"Approval of the document will take place at 10:30 a.m. at Vienna International Center " Sputnik quoted an unnamed source as saying.

Nearly 40 Iraqis killed, over 80 wounded in Baghdad bombings

Nearly 40 people have lost their lives and over eighty more sustained injuries in a series of bomb blasts across the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

 

The first attack occurred when a terrorist blew a car bomb in the Adan square, close to the northwest neighborhood of Kadhimiya, home to the shrines of the seventh Shia Imam, Imam Musa ibn Jafar al-Kazim (PBUH) as well as Imam Muhammad al-Taqi (PBUH), the ninth Shia Imam.

 

The blast ripped through a checkpoint, claiming the lives of three guards and five civilians, who were passing through. Twenty-three others also sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.

Yemeni forces seize Saudi arms airdrop meant for terrorists: Report

The Yemeni army, along with popular committees, has reportedly seized weapons Saudi military aircraft dropped to the terrorists operating in the southern part of the country.

 

The Yemeni forces managed to seize the weapons and ammunition airdropped to the terrorists in the southwestern Yemeni province of Lahij on Monday, Yemen's al-Masirah TV reported.

 

Photos released by the channel on social networks show different sorts of weapons, including automatic guns and rocket launchers, airdropped to the terrorists.

Russia slams US test of B61-12 atomic bomb as 'provocative'

Moscow has condemned the recent test of the US В61-12 nuclear bomb, insisting that the move confirms Washington’s plans to sustain its Europe-based arsenal of nuclear arms capable of targeting Russia.

 

Slamming the US testing of its nuclear bomb as “irresponsible” and “openly provocative,” Russia’s Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov further suggested on Monday that the move is meant to complement Washington’s surging military activities across Europe.

33rd Fajr International Film Festival awards announced

The winners of the 33rd Fajr International Film Festival have been announced, with films from India, Turkey and the host, Iran, winning major prizes.

 

The winners were named in a ceremony marking the end of the festival in Tehran on Saturday, in which senior Iranian officials and major cinema stars were in attendance.

 

Master Govardhan of India won the award for the best actor for starring in Perariyathavar (Names Unknown) a film by the renowned Indian director, Bijukumar Damodaran.

 

Amir-Hossein Asghari of Iran won the special award of the jury for his film, The Borderless.
